A lawyer on TikTok named Erika gave us a gift: a way to get free shoes from the big sports brand Nike.
Of course, this hack depends on whether you already own a pair of Nike shoes, but you see the picture.
In her TikTok video, Erika plays a conversation between herself and a Nike employee, where she asks “Hello, my shoe has a tear, can I get a new pair?”
The clerk (played by Erika) replies, “You bought it almost two years ago, so there’s nothing we can do since it’s been over sixty days.”
Erika says, “I’m not talking about the 60 day return policy. I have read your terms and as long as less than two years have passed since the date of manufacture (imprinted on the inside of the shoe), c ‘is covered by warranty and Nike will either give me a brand new pair or a gift card for the same value.’
Erika, a finance lawyer, reads terms and conditions of various companies in order to save consumers money and give them additional benefits they might not have otherwise known about.
In Nike’s case, the company’s official warranty says items can be returned to them if they have “developed a defect”, such as a tear in Erika’s case, for a brand new pair of the same type.
If Nike no longer offers the shoes in question, then they must offer you a gift card for the same value of the shoes, which can then be used to purchase a new pair on their website or in store.
However, in order to take advantage of this warranty clause, you must return your “defective” pair of shoes to the store if you originally purchased them in the store, or by contacting the company for a return if they were purchased online.
Although this information is available on the Nike website, many of us don’t read the full terms and conditions of purchase and pay attention to the warranty clauses, so little is known about it.
Erika also has another hack for how to get discount from Nike, but you have to buy your items in store to do so.
In the video, she says, “I know if I buy in store I can get 15% off. I just have to download the Nike app and show [the store employee] at the register.’
While Erika has several Nike related videos on her page, these aren’t the only hacks she has to offer.
Many of his videos are about airlines and the benefits customers can get if, for example, their flight is delayed or overbooked.
She also has several videos on how to get big brand discounts, free books and movie tickets, and tips on how to look through vendor ‘tips’ to make you spend more than you. shouldn’t.
Additionally, as a financial attorney, she regularly offers her perspective on money and work-related issues, including how to get a raise at work, protect your money in a relationship, save money on your phone bill and get higher credit. Goal.
His videos often end with: “Who taught you that?” Erika, she’s reading the fine print so I don’t have to.
There are clearly many benefits to reading the fine print. Fortunately, Erika does the heavy lifting for us.
